introduced into photo journalism
through his parents, both photo-
graphers and attended a BA (Hons)
in Visual Communication at the
University College for Creative Arts
in Maidstone, England.
Since then, he’s had numerous solo
exhibitions and book publications.

Everyone’s a photographer. Everyone has
a camera. Everyone shares pictures on
social media. Much of it is enhanced and
filtered. We’re being flooded with images.
Sometimes it seems to me as if I can’t
see the picture for the pictures. I don’t like
that.
And then there’s this photographer from
Central Switzerland. Who takes photos
that look totally random. Everyday life as
the theme and yet nothing everyday about
them. With a focus on real people yet kind
of unreal at the same time. Strange, in
their own way. There’s a man, who sees
what others don’t see, who takes a closer
look and who takes very serious photo
graphs without taking himself too seriously.
Some pictures are kind of irritating. Some
pictures are kind of funny. Some pictures
are simply weird, unseen. Radical Tischler.
Randy has set out to make the unseen
visible with his camera. I’d like to see more
of Randy Tischler. I like it.
